CD Review: Dragonlord “Black Wings Of Destiny”

What makes Dragonforce better than most of the black metal sensations out there? It has to be their characteristic experience, having “Black Wings Of Destiny,” being only their second effort, the line-up itself is unbelievable; guitarist/vocalist Eric Petersen (TESTAMENT), guitarist Steve Smyth (NEVERMORE, ex-TESTAMENT), bassist Derek Ramirez (ex-TESTAMENT), and drummer extraordinaire Jon Allen (SADUS). This set alone have been in the music industry and know what they are doing. Together Dragonlord brings them to be categorized to sound like Old Man’s Child with a more melodic sense of Enslaved with a small dash of Dimmu Borgir mixed in between. This compilation alone is stunning and amazing and brings the music right to your face having it consume you and instantly fill you up with such power and force you won’t believe yourself let alone your ears. “Black Wings of Destiny,” has 10-tracks pf pure crushing fast pacing riffs and solos breaking in and out throughout the album. The vocals are clear and cut bringing a creepy essence to mind. Some out-standing tracks includes “Sins of Allegiance,” “Blood Voyeur,” and “Black Funeral,” these alone set the exact creepy but melodic black metal vibrations you want to experience. All being a very epic and powerful feel to these particular tracks brings Dragonlord at a stance that sets them apart from all the other black metal acts in the music industry. Let Dragonlord into youe life and let it take over you and teach the beauty of what black metal music truly is….
